Length of necklace

There are traditionally seven different lengths that necklaces are available in. The length of the necklace will determine where the necklace will hang to on the wearer's body.

25cm to 32.5cm necklaces
Short necklaces, like chokers usually wrap closely around the neck

40cm to 45cm necklaces
Necklaces, strands, and chokers typically measure from 40cm to 45cm in length, staying fairly close to the neck. Attached pendants lie above the breastbone.

42.5cm to 50cm necklaces
Necklaces, and strands, measuring between 42.5cm and 50cm long, meet at top of breastbone, and can attach pendants or lockets.

50cm to 60cm necklaces
Necklaces that hang at the top of the bust line. Certain strands, and pendant necklaces also come in these lengths.

70cm to 80cm necklaces
Long necklaces that usually hang at or below the bust line. These necklaces can also be worn as a doubled strand.

Necklaces 100cm and longer
Necklaces measuring over 100cm long can hang at, or below, the navel. They are often worn either doubled or tripled.

Necklaces 120cm and longer
Often used for long strands, necklaces measuring over 120cm in length normally wrap or knot around the neck without a clasp.

Personally I prefer to have long necklace that will help to elongate my body and makes me look slimmer.
