Spotted a new kiosk in my neighborhood. To my delight, it is actually a DVD rental kiosk. Best of all, rental fee is only S$1 per night for DVD and $1.80 per night for BluRay. There is no minimum night.
Everything is self automated. The steps are pretty easy:
1. Select the title you want to rent
2. Choose add to cart
3. Scan your identification card and phone number
4. You will receive a passcode sent to your phone number
5. Key in the passcode
6. Wait for the disc to be dispensed from the CD slot.
When return, just need to pay using ezlink card. How easy is that!
These are the 2 DVD I have borrowed. The quality is not bad. I found it economical to watch as a family rather than spending lots of money going to the cinema. According to their website, they will update the kiosk weekly for the latest releases, and there's no registration or membership required.
The titles are not as new as those available on line. However, I love it such that I do not need to wait for streaming and the whole family can sit down by the sofa and enjoy the movie with popcorn.
